Hi, I’m BJ.
I was born in Australia and spent much of my childhood in Copenhagen, Denmark, before returning to Perth in 2006. Since then, I have completed my medical training locally. I graduated from Notre Dame University in Fremantle and undertook my undergraduate and honours degrees at the University of Western Australia.
Throughout my career, I have worked across several leading hospitals. These include Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Perth Children’s Hospital, King Edward Memorial Hospital, and Hollywood Private Hospital. As a result, I have gained broad experience in general medicine, adult and paediatric emergency medicine, mental health, plastic surgery, orthopaedics, and geriatric medicine.
As a GP Registrar, I am passionate about providing evidence-based, preventative, and patient-focused care. Importantly, I take the time to explain medical issues in clear, everyday language. I believe this helps patients feel informed, confident, and involved in their care. Because every patient is unique, I strongly value shared decision-making and education to support the best possible health outcomes.
I look forward to welcoming both new and returning patients to The Garden Medical. It is a privilege to support patients at every stage of their health journey.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy playing tennis, running, travelling, and spending time with my family. I also love walks with our three-year-old Spoodle, Ted.
