We were born with the idea that healthcare can be done better. Founded by Dr Andrew Leech in 2022, this is a GP clinic with a difference.

Our belief is that all patients deserve comprehensive, high quality, holistic, supportive and compassionate healthcare. General Practice is privileged to be at the forefront of that, we can be your first stop in the journey.

Patient Communication and Management of Health Information

Our Healthcare Assistants are dedicated to providing the best support possible for your healthcare needs. Our trained staff are here to assist with appointment scheduling, answer questions, and connect you with the right healthcare services. We strive to make your experience smooth, efficient, and tailored to your individual requirements, ensuring you receive the quality care you deserve.

Patients may communicate with the clinic phone during business hours (click here to view), or via email (hello@thegardenmedical.com). We will endeavour to respond to your email within 24 hours and phone messages on the day.

Patients may consent to SMS communication for appointment reminders and may opt out of this at any time.

Written consent is required to release or obtain medical information from a third party or share information with another person.

Patient Medical Records

All patient information including medical records are held in a secure database and will never be shared without prior written consent.

In the event of your relocation to a new practice for medical services, a fee may apply for the transfer of your medical records. Your new medical practice may request these records, which will only be transferred with your consent.

Interpreting Services

Patients who require communication assistance are asked to let the reception staff know when making the appointment. Our practice is registered with the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS) for non-English speaking patients (1300 575 847). Our practice recommends AUSLAN for hearing impaired services (NABS – National Auslan Interpreter Booking Services) 1800 246 945.

Appointments

Our clinics offers both walk-in and by appointment consultations. Patients are encouraged to book by appointment as walk in appointments aren’t guaranteed and may experience long wait times.

On each day, we offer 'on the day' appointment slots to accommodate emergencies. These appointments are specifically designed for urgent care and operate on a first come first serve basis.

The Garden wants to be your GP clinic for life. Our GP’s have been especially chosen to cover a wide variety of care needs. We are also mindful that we need to take our time, healthcare cannot always be rushed. Our appointments are 15, 30 and 45 minutes. For complex care needs we can even book a 60-minute appointment such as with our Extended Care Consultations and Pelvic Pain Consultations.

If you or your child has any contagious symptoms such as cold, flu, fever, rash, diarrhoea or vomiting, please advise our Healthcare Assistants before attending the clinic.

We are currently accepting new patients of all age groups. Appointments can be made by phoning the clinic. Alternatively, appointments can be booked online with your chosen provider via HotDoc.

The Garden Family Medical Clinic Privacy Policy

Billing Policy

We are a privately billing clinic. Payment is on the day of consultation only, by cash, EFTPOS or credit card. A Medicare rebate will be directly deposited back into your account if you are registered for same day claiming. Individual practitioners may charge have different fees. If you have any queries about fees, please do not hesitate to contact our practice. If attending for workers compensation or motor vehicle accidents, please inform us of your Workcover or ICWA claim number. If you are seen prior to obtaining your claim number, you will be charged privately and reimbursed by Workcover or ICWA upon processing of your claim.
